Dear friends, I am writing this letter to inform you about the scandalous state of deterioration that has come back to create Via Masella, due to a "market" taking abuse from Roma.
As you may recall, already last year, after a long struggle a few months, I managed with a resolution which I submitted to the Council Hall 18, to remedy the problem by cleaning up after the whole area. This year, however the problem is more serious.
On September 19 the City Hall has taken steps to "evict" the majority of Roma from their previous place of sale located in Via Pietro Bembo, but without interest to patrol the surrounding area.
It was clear that the Roma Once evicted from Via Pietro Bembo would return to where you were positioned well last year, that is Via Masella. The fact is that Via Masella is a border road between Municipalities 18 and 19, so the traffic cops of the two municipalities have spent months passing the buck, losing valuable time and helping the situation we have today.
I do not want to think evil, but the fact is that I was left alone to try to solve this problem. Not that it scares me, for heaven's sake .... But just know ...!
However after two months of meetings, phone calls and meetings I've finally managed to draw attention to the problem and bring in place the President of the Municipality 18, the new Commander of the Brigade 18 of the Town Hall and Dr. Bellows (The Mayor). At this meeting, which took place in the presence of a small delegation of citizens on 19th November 2010, it was determined that it will act decisively to free the area from this scourge.
the next few days there will be municipal police cars that will raise fines for those who will stop the car on Via Masella. Will also be made unusable by the area of \u200b\u200bmarketing that will track excavator half of the deep furrows on the ground. I specifically requested that the area is adequately fenced off as soon as possible. Will also take the Guardia di Finanza.
Finally, in the next day this issue will be on the table of the Prefect of Rome, which will provide the means of law enforcement.
short, is preparing massive action which should heal and settle the matter. However will not be a "blitzkrieg." We know that these Roma could return as soon as the waters have calmed down and then we implement a real action of attrition.
