then President, that vote gives the first few months of political activity?
I think the vote should not give me, but the citizens of our town hall. But if you ask me if I'm satisfied with what has been achieved by me and by the Commission which I chair, the answer that I am definitely satisfied.
So what are these things that make her so proud?
I firmly believe that if want to change something, you do not have to wait for someone to do it for you, but you have to take into her own hands and fight for a better world.
When I was a candidate I have not yet collected nearly 5,000 signatures to solve two problems related to public transport in the area of Torrevecchia. In these petitions requesting an increase in bus trips a day 546 (notorious for its delays) and a diversion of bus route 46 / in order to better serve the citizens of the area of housing in Via Torrevecchia.
Unfortunately, I could see that the previous administration was not the least willing to listen to us.
So I decided to run because I was convinced that once elected, I could deal successfully with these and other issues in our municipality.
2 years have passed since that day and today, after hard work, we were able to increase the number of daily runs of 546 132 to 160, and to divert the path of 46 / as requested in the petition.
But these are just two examples: In recent months we have done many other things ...
We want them to say?
We have resurfaced some fundamental way to our city hall, such as Cornelia street, Via Gregorio VII, via Boccea, Numai Street, Beverley Road, Via Val Canna;
We installed a traffic light at the intersection of the pedestrian street called Boccea and so Apricale; Also on
via Boccea, between via and via Framura Apricale we channeled a natural spring that flowed from more than 10 years on the pavement via Boccea disallowing their use;
We are repairing the numerous water leaks from the roofs of schools, some of which can be found for years without being able to use certain premises. The example of the school where Ilaria Alpi have already been sealed over 400 square meters of terraced roof.
But there were also many projects involving green and urban decor ...
For example?
Thanks to my involvement with the intervention of the Ass. Fabio De Lillo environment, we have provided the pruning of maples in the process of almost 200 Torrevecchia, the reclamation of a landfill via Brother Joseph Lazzaro, one way and one way Sfondrati Casali Torrevecchia.
Regarding evictions, we have eliminated the informal settlement of Quartaccio, Via and Via Acquafredda Apricale, where for five years lived in various families of Roma.
What are your future plans?
Without doubt, in the short-term priority is to speed up the opening of the Via Aurelia Via Gregorio XI: as you can imagine, this is a further escape into the ring, would lead to a dissipation of traffic Via Aurelia and a waterfall on Bypass Cornelia, via Boccea Pironti-way street and Covington.
Another priority is to install a pedestrian traffic light on route Torrevecchia in front of the new hypermarket, a stretch of road where the cars whizzing often high-speed, no matter where the many pedestrians who go to the grocery store.
And then there's the project that I can consider without a doubt my main battle ... ..
not keep us on pins and needles ....
It 's a project that has pledged almost two years and has become for me a real challenge. I want to prove to myself and to all citizens that if you engage with all forces, you can loosen the strings of red tape and get unexpected results.
I speak of the notorious street intersection and street Boccea Apricale: in this stretch of road is prohibited for those who turn left, following Via Boccea towards the center, they wanted to go away Apricale. This refusal leads to these motorists an alternative route of about 1.5 km studded with 5 lights. This naturally leads many people to make the dangerous offenses, one of which has cost the life of a boy.
Following a great job, I was able to design engineers of the Department VII a solution that involves the construction of a dedicated lane for the turn Apricale away. This project was later given a favorable opinion from the brigade and also in a conference dall'Atac service strongly supported by me.
At this point we must try to find the money to finance the work ...
The important here is not to lose sight of the ultimate goal of equipping itself with such tenacity and a good dose of patience, there have been many progress and at this point you begin to see the finish line.
